Platt Fields Bike Hub is a community project which supports Manchester’s cycling community by offering a skilled bike repair service, providing access to workshop space and tools, training bicycle mechanics as well as supporting other like-minded projects in the local area.
Please come in and chat with us if you’re having mechanical problems with your bike, would like some general cycling advice, or if you’d like to get involved in the project while improving your skills.
BIG BIKE REVIVAL 2024
We’re at it again. Our dedicated team, the legends that they are are going to be fixing your bikes and teaching you how to fix minor problems you might have with your bike. And as usual Free of charge thanks to our partnership with Cycling UK. So please see our calendar below and book a slot before they run out. The service is free but limited to basic repairs that focus on keeping your bike safe to ride.
Planning your visit
Puncture repairs, tyre inflating and minor repairs do not require you to make a booking, just come in with your bike and we’ll have it fixed for you while you wait.
If you have a bigger problem with your bike or would like to book a more torough service, please schedule a booking appointment below.

If there’s an old bike in your shed that you’re no longer cycling, please bring it to us. We’ll restore it and find it a new loving owner.
This way you’ll save a bike from the skip, give someone a great second-hand bike and will help support our project.

Do you know your way around a bicycle? Would you like to bring your skills to a higher level? Would you like to help us put more people on bikes? We are constantly looking for volunteers who can share their skills.
